The APVB Adjustable Post Base is part of the Outdoor Accents® line from Simpson Strong-Tie, supplied by Cedar Direct. Designed to secure posts or columns to concrete, this post base is ideal for outdoor projects like pergolas, patio covers, and other top-supported structures. It is a part of the Avant Collection™, featuring a clean, timeless design that complements nearly every architectural style. The ZMAX® galvanized steel with a black powder-coat finish offers superior corrosion resistance, making it perfect for exterior applications.

The APVB post base installs with Outdoor Accents structural wood screws and patented hex-head washers (sold separately) — the only approved fastener solution for Outdoor Accents connectors. This combination provides a decorative, bolted appearance with the ease of screw installation. The APVB also includes a 1" standoff to help prevent post-end rot caused by moisture.
